Teachers who often find students disruptive or slow because they are not showing interest in class lessons can benefit from learning about reluctant learners and the ways this issue can be handled. Every student deserves a chance to explore his world and since their imagination is very fertile, they need their teacher's assistance to learn through their own imaginative tools and in their own way.

The most interesting part of these tools is that they are the ones we often use without knowing. But probably never had a name for them. If children are made aware of these tools they use unconsciously, we can help them develop those skills even further. Teachers will still however need to help students in employing these tools for learning plain class lessons.
Egan and Judson have done a commendable job in identifying a problem and addressing it in simple and effective manner. Further research in the field and on the work of Vgotsky might help us better understand the scope of the three oral tools and their relevance to learning among reluctant learners.
